The Leitrim Design House

The Leitrim Design House is a long established award winning retail gallery shortlisted as one of the top ten best gift& design shops in Ireland by The Irish Times readers. A unique showcase of Irish craft and design this stunning gallery is housed in The Dock, a beautiful 19th century Courthouse building, located in the heart of Carrick-on-Shannon overlooking the majestic River Shannon.

Considered one of the landmark visitor attractions in the area, the Leitrim Design House is a unique shopping experience offering a wonderful opportunity to support Ireland’s creative industry. This stunning centre of excellence is a non-profit organisation committed both  to supporting the development and success of designers, makers and artists working in the creative sector and to nurturing Irish makers and designers through training, mentoring and networking.


The stunning retail space presents a contemporary range of individually hand- made items from local and national craft makers. The selection of work on display is carefully curated with a strong emphasis on quality, design and innovation. Enjoy a contemporary range of distinctive Irish made products from local and national craft makers; fine art, ceramics, glass, prints, metal, wood, jewellery, textiles, unique cards and more.

The building is wheelchair accessible, has an internal elevator, free wifi access, free car parking and a coffee shop.
