Two of the Board of Directors of Leitrim Design House were acknowledged recently on their retirement. Directors Sinead Guckian, former County Councillor and Eddie Shanahan, Fashion Retail Consultant both retired from the Board at the recent AGM. Both Eddie and Sinead served on the board for over 11 years each and gave generously of their time and expertise to bring the Leitrim Design House to the professional platform it is today. Bringing a wealth of dedication and professionalism to the role, Eddie and Sinead will be greatly missed by the staff and other Board Members of the Leitrim Design House. The Leitrim Design House is now in its 19th year of operation, and nurtures Irish craftsmanship and assists small craft & design businesses to develop and showcase their designs. Its flagship gallery has been recommended by the Design & Craft Council of Ireland as one of the leading craft and design outlets in the country and is considered one of the landmark visitor attractions in the region. The Board of Leitrim Design House would like to take this opportunity to thank Eddie and Sinead for their work and take the opportunity to welcome Cllr Fi nola Armstrong-McGuire and Grainne Mc Garty, Designer as new Board Members and look forward to working with them in the future. Finola brings a vast experience in retail management and strategic vision, while Grainne brings her interior design background and business management experience to the company.
