Magical Micro Worlds! If you could magically transport yourself to anywhere in the universe, real or imagined, where would you go? Would you like to create and animate a diorama?
Dioramas have been used since the early 19th century for entertainment and as educational tools in museums and galleries. You will learn how to build a diorama and bring it into the 21st century by making a simple animation with it
Everyone from six to sixteen years old, living in County Leitrim, is invited to take part in this fun series of workshops.
Over three Saturdays, you will design, build and animate your own micro world with the use of simple materials found in your home. You can then celebrate your finished diorama by inviting family and friends to view your creation in our own virtual gallery project
The Leitrim Design House in partnership with EZxploring invites you to enjoy, Magical Micro Worlds our free online series of creative diorama and animation workshops. These workshops are part of the Cruinniú na nÓg programme funded by Creative Ireland.
