Cork Print
The 32 Series
Cork
Corcaigh
The largest county in Ireland with so many possible areas of beauty to draw inspiration from. Cork, translating as The Marsh brought my research to The Gearagh, a fascinating area that was once an ancient oak forest. The Gearagh was flooded in the 50s to facilitate the building of two dams. The trees were felled, the residents relocated and whats left is the most unusual wetlands scattered with the ghostly stumps of the forest that once was. Also featured in this piece is Fastnet Rock, Ireland’s Teardrop and most southernly point.
