The Leitrim Design House were delighted to launch ‘Landlines’, an exhibition by
Siobhán Leonard on ART WALL. the exhibition launch was a wonderful opportunity enjoy some colourful works and meet with Siobhan to chat
about her work and influences.

Siobhán Leonard is an artist based in Cloughjordan, Co. Tipperary. Her paintings are abstract in nature, creating ethereal spaces of emotional connection to a reminiscent landscape. Through a process of layering whether by palette knife or by brush, moments of serenity emerge that are both rewarding and evocative. Siobhán started her artistic career at Limerick College of Art and Design, where she studied Fashion Design before going on to work in photography for twelve years. She returned to study Fine Art at GMIT Galway and soon after moved to Brussels in 2006. She worked and exhibited in Belgium for six years and returned to Ireland  in 2012 to set up her studio and gallery ‘Windmill Studio’ in Cloughjordan, County Tipperary.

The launch occurred on the same evening as the Buille performance in the Dock Arts Centre. With 4 incredible musicians Caoimhin Vallely, Niall Vallely,
Brian Morrissey and Ed Boyd, Buille have blazed a trail through traditional and
contemporary music since forming in 2005 and are well worth catching.
