TRUE SHADES OF IRELAND, AN EXHIBITION OF LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS BY PAMELA H HILLIARD ON ARTWALL
The Leitrim Design House is delighted to showcase a new exhibition of paintings on ARTWALL titled True shades of Ireland by Louth based artist Pamela H Hilliard. This is a collection of delicately painted landscapes in oil on panel of rural scenes in Ireland. Pamela has an intuitive sense of colour and a remarkable eye for capturing the ever changing light in Irish skies. Having qualified with a higher diploma in Fine Art Pamela went on to take up an art residency in D.I.F.E for a year. She has been committed as a full time artist for the past five years. Passionate about the Irish landscape, Pamela shares her inspiration:
My paintings depict the magnificent and ever changing skies, dictated by diverse sunrises and sunsets.The diversity of the Irish landscape intrigues me. I see the simplest of things and recognise the beauty within. Our countryside abounds with lush vegetation and hidden treasures. A saturated natural palette of luxurious colours, light and atmosphere. Our skies, brooding and full of drama. I am passionate about the environment and climate issues. I often find myself observing the effects on the landscape but yet I find at times there is beauty in change. With the abundance of a yet unspoiled landscape, an arena of beauty and mystery. This provides the inspiration for my work.
Art collectors that may wish to invest in any of these very impressive series of landscape paintings remember we welcome deposits on any of our unique collections. These can then be paid off over a number of weeks. We are currently open Thursday - Saturday however our extended new Christmas Opening Hours are as follows: Tuesday Dec 8th - Sunday 13th 11.30 to 4.00pm, Tuesday 15th – Thursday 24th 11.30 to 4.00pm, Closed Mondays.
