From a rural community right on the Fermanagh - Donegal border, Paschal grew up surrounded by farming, construction, and skilled craftsmanship, where making and problem-solving with limited resources shaped his thinking. Early attempts at painting were frustrated by mild colour blindness so pen and ink drawing and drafting were his chosen medium before discovering sculpture and eventually assemblage photography. Years later a mad mid-life crisis led to him formally studying digital mixed media. During many covid rabbit holes Paschal discovered laser cutting, not an instant light bulb moment but a most definite flick of a switch!

Working primarily with layered plywood, he explores sacred and classical geometry, mathematics, and a newfound relationship with colour itself to design and build sculptural works that balance pattern, space, texture and the form of the construction itself, with the aim of creating distinctive and unique contemporary artworks that both challenge and relax the mind.
