As part of Cruinniú na nÓg, a national day of free creativity for children and young people, The leitrim Design House is holding a free workshop with Ann Britton.
Take part in a printmaking workshop and explore the creativity of colour!
The beauty of monoprinting lies in its spontaneity and how it can incorporate printing, painting and drawing. Ann Britton will teach participants to use a creative approach that is abstract and will focus on the colours and interplay between them. Participants will learn the basic printmaking skill of registration, the use of found materials for mark-making and the sheer joy of getting lost in the work.
It is hoped that each child will create two pieces of work, one to leave at the Leitrim Design House and one to keep themselves to remember the day.
Suitable for ages 8–12.
SATURDAY 11th JUN 2022
Two workshops will be available on the day:
Booking is essential as there are limited spaces available.
