Join us in The Leitrim Design House on Culture Night Friday September 22nd 2023 at 6pm for the opening reception launch of Connecting Cultures Through Craft.

This exhibition grew out of a series of mixed media textile workshops led by Leitrim artist Catherine Gray and funded by Creative Ireland under the Creative Communities Programme.

Catherine has been working with the Ukrainian community living in the region over recent summer months.These workshops offered an outlet for self-expression and to enable fluid communication through a visual language. This project was developed in collaboration with the participants allowing their own voice to shine through. This collection of textile works evolved through various stitching and layering processes explored through the workshop series.
