During this drop-in workshop with The Leitrim Design House, Rose will guide you through creating your very own medium-sized scarf puppet. You’ll start by assembling the puppets with Rose’s expert help, and then bring them to life in playful exploration. It’s a fantastic opportunity to dive into the puppet-making process and experience the magic of puppet manipulation firsthand. Don’t miss out on this fun and engaging creative experience !
Rose Minnema is a puppet builder and facilitates workshops to create puppets and show how to manipulate them. Puppetry is a beautiful medium to express oneself and explore themes such as biodiversity, racial diversity and one's identity in a safe and playful way. "Respect, compassion, joy and a sense of wonder about life are key elements in my work and I like to transmit that during the workshops by stimulating participants to get actively involved and use their imagination"
The Dock will also have some drop in events including Youth exhibition launch, Guided exhibition tours and Iconic short films from Ukraine, more information here
