We’re excited to have award-winning Leitrim artist Vicky Crawford join our Summer workshops series. We recognised Vicky's thoughtful approach and innovative making skills during the National Design Craft & Art awards, where she won the hearts of five judges with her unique collagraph print made from natural materials that birds use to build their own homes. Vicky's work is rooted in a deep respect for the natural world. She refers to birds as ‘hedgerow engineers’, a quietly simple idea that captures both her way of seeing and her careful engagement with materials.
Across three relaxed, hands-on workshops, Vicky will guide participants through lino block printing, collagraph and drypoint. Working with a mix of new and used fabrics, along with recycled materials, these sessions are a chance to experiment, learn new techniques, and create something personal to take away.
All workshops are €10 and include tea or coffee. Places for each workshop are limited, and booking is essential.
Wednesday 15th July
Lino block printing - 10.30am – 3.30pm BOOK HERE

Wednesday 22nd July
Collagraph printing - 10.30am – 3.30pm BOOK HERE
Collagraph printing works so well on fabric and the plates are such fun to create! This method of printmaking can be done with oat milk cartons, old scraps of wallpaper, and tapes. They work well for backgrounds and colour as well as stand-alone images.
Wednesday 29th July
Drypoint printing - 10.30am – 3.30pm BOOK HERE
Drypoint etching is a simple way to produce prints as you can see through the plate, great for those who worry they can’t draw. Images are created by scratching the surface of the plastic plate. It can be wonderfully delicate on fabric and create great results quickly.
