Based in the scenic town of Killybegs, Co. Donegal, Naomi Fleury creates delicate, intricate works of art using traditional Japanese origami techniques. Originally from Yokohama, Japan, Naomi learned the art of origami as a young child from her grandmother, aunts, and uncle, a tradition that's been close to her heart ever since.
Now living in Ireland, Naomi combines her lifelong passion for Japanese arts with the natural inspiration of the Donegal coast. Every piece she makes is entirely handmade using exquisite hand-printed Japanese paper, which she personally sources and imports from Japan. Each design can take hours, sometimes even days, as she carefully folds, measures, and assembles her creations with quiet precision and care.
Naomi is also the first person in Ireland to be awarded an origami teaching qualification from the Nippon Origami Association, a proud recognition of her skill and dedication. Whether it’s a single crane or a complex geometric arrangement, Naomi’s work is a beautiful blend of cultural heritage, craftsmanship, and patience.
