Roy is a self-taught wood turner based in Mohill, County Leitrim who has been woodturning for almost 30 years. Using all native timber sourced mainly from the family farm, bowls, candle holders, lamps, tables and other interesting sculpted pieces are carefully designed and created in a converted granary on the family farm. Inspiration comes from the texture of a piece of wood and Roy’s vision of what he can create from it.

Roy is the fourth generation of the Humphrey family working with wood and this family tradition has led him to appreciate and the value and importance of caring for our many home-grown timbers. Sustainable home grown wood combined with craftsmanship and a quality finish brings great value to this collection.
