Sam McGarry is a multidisciplinary artist originally from the village of Kenagh in Co. Longford. Kenagh is home to the beautiful Corlea bog lands, and the flora found there deeply inspires Sam’s work.

Sam transforms the often overlooked plants and flowers of the dark, peat-rich bog setting by using expressive, colourful watercolours. Through her art, she brings these hidden wonders to life, creating vivid images that reveal the delicate beauty of nature.

Her paintings reflect a deep connection to the landscape, capturing its rich textures and subtle hues. Sam’s keen eye for detail and passion for her craft allow her to create works that evoke a sense of place, serenity, and a renewed appreciation for nature’s fleeting beauty.
