Majella McAuley’s twin businesses Natural Ireland and The Soap Box are based in the Food Hub in Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim; where all the products are handmade using pure ingredients with a strong emphasis on protecting the environment. Majella’s soap business has grown out of her interest in natural skincare & a belief that the more natural the product, the more beneficial it is to our skin.
Made from only natural ingredients these products are designed to be good for you and good for the planet. These skincare products include a full range of handcrafted cold process soaps and a range of handmade traditional shaving soaps.
Majella’s natural cold process soaps, scented with a blend of pure grade essential oils, are handmade in small batches to ensure the finest quality. Each variety of soap has its own natural exfoliant in the form of flower buds and seeds, citrus rind, wholegrains and seaweeds. The colours are made from plant roots and seeds. Her shaving soap forms a thick luxurious lather which protects the skin from cuts, razor burn and irritation and is suitable for sensitive skin. This collection of shaving soaps, formulated for sensitive skin, scooped the Bronze Award in the Male Grooming category in the prestigious UK Freefrom SkinCare Awards 2017.
